Why this gear?

Four items up close

Everything in the set works together and has been tested as a whole on multi-day treks. The four core items up close:

MSR Hubba Hubba NX tent with footprint and the Stoic tarp in their stuff sacks on a rock by the fjord

MSR

Hubba Hubba NX 2P

A lightweight 3-season tent that packs small and pitches easily.

  • 2 people· two-person tent
  • 3 seasons· spring · summer · autumn
  • 1.72 kg· full packed weight
  • 46 × 15 cm· packed size
  • Footprint & tarp· footprint and tarp included

Why this matters

1.72 kg is very light, so it's easy to carry day after day. The tent also pitches in a couple of minutes.

Two Rab Neutrino −6 °C sleeping bags in their red stuff sacks with two Cocoon liners on a rock by the fjord

RAB

Neutrino −6 °C / 20 °F

A warm down sleeping bag for cool mountain nights.

  • Comfort: −5 °C· right for cool nights
  • Limit: −12 °C· for occasional cold spells
  • 800 cuin· European goose down
  • Water-resistant· hydrophobic down treatment
  • Cocoon liner· cocoon liner included

Why this matters

A comfort rating well below zero means comfortable nights without the cold. The bag carries enough warmth for changeable weather on a trek.

Two NEMO Tensor All-Season mats packed down beside two Sea to Summit Aeros Premium pillows by the water

NEMO

Tensor All-Season

A very comfortable mat with plenty of warmth against the cold ground, and no crinkle when you move.

  • R-value: 5.4· independently lab-tested
  • 9 cm / 3.5 in· thickness
  • 4-season· two Thermal Mirror layers
  • Quiet· no crinkle sound
  • Pillows included· Sea to Summit Aeros Premium

Why this matters

A good mat stops heat loss into the ground and keeps you comfortable on uneven terrain. The Tensor All-Season pairs a high R-value with a notably quiet surface.

Osprey Atmos AG 65 with the Black Diamond trekking poles on a rock ledge by the fjord

OSPREY

Atmos AG 65 & Aura AG 65

One men's and one women's pack with AntiGravity suspension, personally fitted at pickup.

  • Men + women· Atmos AG 65 · Aura AG 65
  • Rain cover included· one per pack
  • 2× Atmos or 2× Aura· on request
  • Reservoir included· Osprey 2.5L hydration reservoirs

Why this matters

Bring your own

What the set does not cover

The gear is in the set. Everything beyond that you bring yourselves. A few things to think about:

  • Hiking boots
  • Hiking clothing
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Food and drink
  • Personal toiletries
  • Phone and charging cables
  • Route planning and any permits
  • Travel insurance where relevant
  • Water purification, if your route needs it

This list is not exhaustive and is not advice. Your route, season and experience decide what else you need — work out for yourselves what to bring.
